At least 40 people were injured after the assailant drove his vehicle into pedestrians walking across Westminster Bridge.

The British Parliament is expected to sit as normal on Thursday, despite remaining fears around an attack that occurred outside the Houses of Parliament in London yesterday.

Five people have now been confirmed dead, including a policeman and the suspect.

At least 40 people were injured after the assailant drove his vehicle into pedestrians walking across Westminster Bridge.

Authorities have called it terrorist incident.

The attacker who was armed with a knife, then ran towards Parliament where he was confronted by the police and shot dead.

Prime Minister Theresa May has condemned the attack describing it as a sick and depraved.

Adam Gilchrist says an investigation is underway.

They will absolutely be looking at various things including I believe a claim this morning that the attacker was known to police.
