NEC meeting to get underway with Dlamini and Lungisa's fate in question

A meeting of the ANC’s national executive committee (NEC) is set to kick of this morning.

This is the first gathering following a Constitutional Court judgment on the Sassa grants crises.

Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini’s has already appeared before the party’s integrity committee which is expected to report back to the NEC.

Karima Brown gives a run through of some of the other issues that may set the agenda for the weekend.

Other major question that will be coming up is the fact of Andile Lungisa, the Eastern Cape ANC member who defied a national decision to contest elections at a lower regional structure.

He got instructions that he needs to stand down but it appears that Lungisa is putting all his money on this crucial NEC saying that he will only vacate his post if the NEC of this meeting instructs him to do so.
