Kenyatta blames opposition for 2007 post-election violence

In Kenya, President Uhuru Kenyatta has blamed the opposition for the electoral violence that scarred the nation in 2007.

Campaigning in the Kisii region on Wednesday, Kenyatta shunned the Orange Democratic Movement's Raila Odinga and blamed him for the post-election violence in 2007 and 2008 that claimed more than 1000 lives reports 702 Africa correspondent Crystal Orderson.

In South Sudan, she says the first unit of a regional protection force will be deployed over the next few weeks.

Clearly that is very dangerous in a country where ethnic tensions are very high.
