Province working to solve the Delft taxi violence

Donald Grant talks about the reasons underlying the recent spate of taxi violence in the Delft area in the Western Cape.

MEC for Transport in the Western Cape Donald Grant talks to John Maytham about the reasons underlying the recent spate of taxi violence in the Delft area in the Western Cape.

He says they have been working over the past three weeks to accomodate 75 illegal taxi operators in the Delft area, which were left over from the previous conflict, and place them in specific route based associations.

We are working with mediators behind the scenes with the City of cape Town officials and our officials to broker a a way forward, get rid of the impasse so that normal operations can reconvene..
