Eskom board to probe CEO's step-daughter's R1 billion contracts

Eskom board spokesperson Khulani Qoma says their board is looking into the allegations that the stepdaughter of acting CEO Matshela Koko, benefitted from contracts amounting to R1 billion.

The Sunday Times published a report that 26-year-old Koketso Choma was a director of Impulse International when it was awarded the contracts by Eskom.

Qoma admits that these allegations have the potential of tainting Eskom's public image.

These are allegations so they need to be verified.

Qoma says the board is concerned with the controversies associated with Eskom and will ensure it restores it image.
