Alleged mastermind behind #OCJBurglary claims he was slapped around by cops

EWN Reporter, Gia Nicolaides says Msimango has denied his involvement in the burglary of the offices of Chief Justice, Mogoeng Mogoeng. The lawyer representing Msimango says his client presented himself over on Friday at the police station.

Msimango claims in the evening while in custody and was slapped and interrogated by police officers.

Nicolaides says based on what was heard in the court on Monday afternoon, the state's case appears sketchy.

They said he is facing a Schedule 1 offense at this time, (house breaking and theft) but they may increase it to a Schedule 5 offense if they can determine that the goods were stolen, amount to more that R 500 000.
