Struggle stalwart Ahmed Kathrada dies

The African National Congress (ANC) and struggle veteran, Ahmed Kathrada, has died aged 86.

Kathrada was admitted to Donald Gordon Hospital for surgery related to blood clotting in the brain earlier this month.

His condition deteriorated in the past 24 hours, the Kathrada Foundation confirming earlier that he passed away in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
