The FIC report in Minister Pravin Gordhan's court application shows 60 suspicious transactions linked to Gupta-owned companies.

Gupta-owned companies have applied to have the financial intelligence centre report showing 60 suspicious transactions linked to its companies struck from the record.

A host of applications are being heard in the Pretoria High Court, including an application by Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan to have the court declare that he cannot intervene in the Guptas’ fight with the banks.

The country’s big four banks closed the Gupta’s business accounts between 2015 and 2016 citing reputational risk.

Meanwhile, President Jacob Zuma’s legal team has abandoned its attempt to intervene in Finance Minister Gordhan’s application against Gupta-owned companies.

Eyewitness News reporter Barry Bateman was there.
