The ANC lost its moral compass some time back.— Professor Lesiba Teffo, Political analyst
Teffo says the ANC's loss of moral rectitude started at the top, with President Jacob Zuma.
He says that many people are only coming to realise this now, while the damage has been done.
To come back and confess once the damage is done is counter-productive. If people had listen, perhaps we wouldn't be having what we have to day.. the right person might have been in the State House.— Professor Lesiba Teffo, Political analyst
The professor claims that many people had long warned the ruling party about political opportunism, but members chose to keep quiet.
Teffo reflected on the political climate in the country and the speculation around potential Cabinet re-shuffle.
He says South Africa, in its current state, is not worthy of the legacy bequeathed by the late Ahmed Kathrada.
