Matthews Phosa Former ANC treasurer general says the ANC NEC needs to stop taking collective responsibility for wrong things and ensure that there is a democracy of humility in South Africa.
Phosa was responding to a call for the President to step down reiterated at the funeral of Ahmed Kathrada by former President Kgalema Motlanthe.
A call by Kathrada, which was read at his funeral, is a sound advice for the President and it will always remain sound.— Matthews Phosa, ANC Stalwart

Phosa lashed out at the President Zuma for recalling Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan when he was on a mission which stands to benefit the economy of the country, saying it was ruthless act.
The ANC as an organisation has the responsibility to ensure that Pravin is allowed to continue doing the business of the people, in the interest of the country.— Matthews Phosa, ANC Stalwart
