Cabinet still mum on meeting called by President

EWN reporter Clement Manyathela explains that the expected post cabinet briefing has not yet happened. President Jacob Zuma had called for a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday afternoon.

Yesterday the spokesperson for Cabinet told me that they would be releasing a statement this morning advising us of the time and venue.

Manyathela says the only communication the media received on Thursday was to confirm that Cabinet would release a statement sharing the resolution of the meeting, rather than hold the customary briefing.

Manyathela was also at the Constitutional Court on Thursday afternoon, where the Economic Freedom Fighters leader, Julius Malema filed a court application to institute impeachment or disciplinary proceedings against President Jacob Zuma.
