President rewarded those who want Dlamini-Zuma as President- analyst

31 March 2017 7:25 AM
Reports speculate that other ministers and Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa may resign following Zuma's Cabinet reshuffle.

Political analyst and Talk At Nine host, Karima Brown, says some of the ministers were only told 20 minutes before President Jacob Zuma's announcement that they will be axed from Cabinet.

The Finance Minister was not called. I was in contact with him until the very last minute.

Brown says the South African Communist Party (SACP) and the Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) have scheduled meetings to discuss their reaction to Zuma's Cabinet reshuffle.

All eyes now are on the deputy president. Lot of speculation that there might be resignations.
