De Lille on #CabinetReshuffle and her Global Parliament of Mayors appointment

The Executive Mayor for the City of Cape Town, Patricia de Lille, is now the Chairwoman of the Steering Committee of the Global Parliament of Mayors, taking over from Mayor Jozias van Aartsen who stepped down as Mayor of The Hague.

De Lille says she was asked to take over until October when elections for a full time leader will be held.

She says she is being receiving a lot of support from other mayors.

This is to facilitate cities in solving problems like climate change, refugees, diseases, urbanization and inequality...
