Mbalula vows zero tolerance on criminality

The new Minister of Police, Fikile Mbalula, who has been shifted from Sports Minister, says his priority is to fight and defeat crime.

He says he will ensure that citizens of South Africa are protected, making them feel free and safe.

The police are going to be an amplifier of peace and law restoration in our communities.

On issues that are still outstanding, like the case of former Hawks head Berning Ntlemeza, Mbalula says he is still waiting to get a hand over a report for matters that are up for litigation.

He says he will seek advice before making a decision on those issues.
