He says he will ensure that citizens of South Africa are protected, making them feel free and safe.

Mbalula says he has no respect for criminals - but the job to do away with criminality is not only for the man in blue alone but a partnership with society.

On issues that are still outstanding, like the case of former Hawks head Berning Ntlemeza, Mbalula says he is still waiting to get a hand over a report for matters that are up for litigation.
He says he will seek advice before making a decision on those issues.
