Children in rural and township communities with the attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are often misdiagnosed.

Children affected by the attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are often misdiagnosed as naughty or stupid in communities where there are no tools and healthcare professionals required to do the assessment.

To address this challenge in township and rural communities, businessman and athlete, Nic De Beer, and psychiatrist Dr Renata Schoeman have launched the Goldilocks and The Bear Foundation to offer the country’s first non-profit ADHD screening and early intervention mobile clinic.

Our focus is to provide the schools with qualified trained nurses to do early intervention and screening for kids that possible have ADHD and getting them the treatment.

A lot of these kids tend to go to criminal activities because they are not accepted.

Our main purpose is to identify these kids and give them an opportunity to finish their schooling.
