Opposition parties join forces, plan national march to Union Buildings

Leaders and representatives of South Africa's opposition parties, namely, Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) , Democratic Alliance (DA), Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), The African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP), The Congress of the People (COPE) and United Democratic Movement (UDM) met earlier this morning.

The opposition parties say they have come up with a programme of action in response to the cabinet reshuffle made by President Jacob Zuma.

Masa Kekana, EWN reporter was at the briefing.

They say this has unified them and they are stronger than ever as an opposition working together.

They're saying their programme of action will include a summit as well as a national day of action which will be next week Wednesday, where they're proposing a march to the Union Buildings.

Kekana says it was not clear whether it will be a national shutdown yet. She says the motion of no confidence is also on the agenda of these opposition parties.
