FNB to sell electricity generators at a “significant” discount

FNB announced on Thursday that it will help lessen the impact of load-shedding on its small business and residential clients by supplying 10 000 electricity generators at a “significantly discounted price”.

Clients will be able to buy discounted generators, ranging in size from 2.5kVA to 7kVA, using cash, eBucks or any FNB credit facility.

This is the first step in what will be an ongoing campaign by the bank to help its customers deal with South Africa’s severe shortage of electricity.

In the next few weeks the bank will roll out another campaign, targeted at large FNB clients, to supply discounted generators with capacities greater than 150kVA.

We’re simply trying to meet our customers’ needs. That’s why we’re doing this. To us it makes a lot of sense.

This is an online offer. You can buy a generator on our eBucks shop. This is another opportunity for our customers to spend their eBucks.

We might be underestimating the demand for these generators.
