Cosatu to meet with ANC's top 6

We think the situation is untenable...

Bheki Ntshalintshali, General secretary

Trade union federation Cosatu has confirmed that indeed it is time President Jacob Zuma resigns.

General secretary Bheki Ntshalintshali says in the past when the President planned a cabinet reshuffle he would meet them and listen to their views but the same did not happen with the current reshuffle where Pravin Gordhan and other ministers were fired.

More worrying was the pronouncement of statements made by some members of his top leadership that they were not consulted and that they disagree with the decision.

Bheki Ntshalintshali, General secretary

That instilled fear into us as to who exactly is running this country if the Cabinet is decided somewhere else.

Bheki Ntshalintshali, General secretary

President Zuma is not just the president of the ANC he is the state President. He has to put the interest of the country and the nation first.

Bheki Ntshalintshali, General secretary

Ntshalintshali says Cosatu will be meeting the ANC's top six on Wednesday to further raise their concerns on the cabinet reshuffle.
