Mother creates life saving bracelet after her child involved in accident

Janine De Grill, founder and owner of Icelet started developing the device after her daughter was involved in car accident, sustaining a head injury which made it impossible to communicate with the medics.

De Grill says she realised a lot of people find themselves in a situation where they are not able to communicate their medical information with medics after an accident.

I just needed something other than a cellphone to help my child in times of accidents or injury.

Icelet is a simple bracelet fitted with a QR code that contains all the important details EMS workers need in critical situations.

When the medics arrive on the scene they are able to scan the QR code to retrieve personal and medical information.
