Holomisa gives Mbete ultimatum over secret ballot at no confidence debate

UDM leader Bantu Holomisa says he's written to National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete reiterating the call for a secret ballot during the vote of no confidence in President Zuma.

Holomisa says he wrote Mbete a letter on Thursday morning following her failure to acknowledge previous correspondence.

The opposition leader says he's given Mbete until 10am tomorrow before pursuing "a legal remedy".

He says there has already been threats of intimidation for ANC MPs to tow the party line.

If she fails to respond, then we follow another route.

For her to just reject it, it shows that she is conflicted.
