Stephen Grootes: You support the ANC, you're a member of the alliance, you're now protesting against its leader. You have to accept this very strange politics.

It's not strange. I'm a member of the ANC in my own right as well. The SACP has taken a decision that Jacob Zuma must resign. Largely because the capture of the state by corporate, particular the Gupta group.

Solly Mapaila, 2nd Deputy General Secretary, SACP

Stephen Grootes: Do you really think there is any chance the president will go?

The President will ultimately go. The people of South Africa will make sure that he goes. If he doesn't the ANC will pay a heavy price when the people won't choose it.

Solly Mapaila, 2nd Deputy General Secretary, SACP

He's causing more damage to the national fabric which makes it impossible for the ANC to lead with integrity.
