Eskom pushing ahead with nuclear build programme

Chief nuclear officer at Eskom, Dave Nicol, says Eskom is pressing ahead with the nuclear build programme despite being mentioned by the ratings agency, Fitch, as part of its reason to downgrade South Africa to junk status on Friday.

Nicol says it is no secret.

The key thing to say is we are moving in accordance with the instructions and designations we have received from the DOE as the nuclear procuring agent.
