Motorists urged to avoid using Tshwane roads closed for #NationalDayOfAction

Police are expecting an estimated 10 000 protesters to head to the Union Buildings to demand that President Jacob Zuma step down with immediate effect.

This is part of the 'national day of action' protest organised by opposition political parties.

Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) spokesperson, Isaac Mahamba, says the protesters will gather at Church Square in Pretoria, and several roads will be closed.

Madiba, Edmond and Hamilton streets will be closed completely for the buses carrying marchers, to park.

Here is the list of roads affected by the march...

Madiba, Lillian Ngoyi, Sisulu, Du toit, Nelson mandela drive, Edmond, Hamilton and Thabo Sehume.

Acting National Police Commissioner Khomotso Phahlane says police will be monitoring all police action.
