[Cartoon] The party poopers

EWN's Dr Jack & Curtis take a wry look at President Jacob Zuma's birthday celebrations which fell on the same day as over 100 000 marched on the Union Buildings calling for him to step down.

As Jacob Zuma celebrated his birthday with the ANC faithful in Kliptown on Wednesday, a march led by 7 opposition parties moved from Church Square in Pretoria to the Union Buildings.

EFF leader Julius Malema didn't hold back and countered Zuma's earlier cries of the protests being racist.

But Zuma seemed unfazed by the protests. He used his 75th birthday celebration to send a message to those calling on him to step down, saying he would do so if the African National Congress (ANC) asked him to.
