A simple test to demonstrate how our vision works was recently made into a great short video by AsapScience using a weird picture that combines Marilyn Monroe with Albert Einstein. If your eyes are bad you will most likely only see Monroe. The basic explanation is that we use two systems to see basic shapes and another to see detail. At a distance we see Monroe as it is the basic shape of the picture, up close we see the details only of Einstein. If you can't see Einstein even up close, have your eyes checked.
A few years ago news about a pregnancy would have spread via word of mouth, mobile phones made that easier and sms even more so. Then social media upped the ante. Now not only could the good news be easy shared, but you could get creative with it too. YouTube has plenty of examples, here is one from early April that has a couple sing their own version of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air TV theme tune. Over 4 million people now know the Meeks of Oregon are expecting a baby. Congrats.
