Former SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng addressed the media on many issues, including the 90% local content rule he implemented in 2016.

The media briefing held by former SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng shows how critical and controversial the court of public opinion is, says presenter Aubrey Masango.

Motsoeneng held a media briefing in Auckland Park on Wednesday in which he said won't apologise for decisions he made as COO during his time at the public broadcaster.

Everybody is having a media briefing these days.

Motsoeneng was suspended pending the conclusion of a fresh internal disciplinary process.

After his previous appointment as COO was set aside in September last year, Motsoeneng returned to the SABC as group executive for corporate affairs.

In December, Western Cape High court ruled that Motsoeneng must be removed from his position until the disciplinary hearing is concluded.
