The South African Communist Party is picketing outside Treasury in Tshwane to oppose state capture and corruption.

The Gauteng South African Communist Party (SACP) is holding a protest outside National Treasury in Tshwane on Friday.

Jacob Mamabola, provincial secretary of the SACP in Gauteng says they are protesting the removal of former finance minister, Pravin Gordhan, among other things.

Our country is experiencing and unprecedented level of crisis.

Mamabolo says the SACP is also protesting against the prospect of another downgrade, subsequent to the S & P Global and Fitch ratings, declaring South Africa sub-investment grade.

We are here at Treasury to ensure our country is never again turned into a playground for corporate interest, particularly the Gupta dynasty that has been manipulating our supply chain policies, undermining governance of state-owned enterprises that have been hard at work, even to grab and capture the entire financial system.
