Hennessy: The story of an iconic cognac

Established in 1765, Hennessy has maintained its status as one of the best cognac’s in the world, over eight generations.

Richard Hennessy founded the company and under his son James, the brand expanded rapidly.

Maurice Hennessy belongs to the latest vintage of this "grand cru".

Azania Mosaka spoke to him about the company’s relationship with LVMH, moving beyond cognac and some of his own exploits.

We created something called VSOP in 1816, Hennessy Xo in 1817… with the US being the largest cognac market in the world, we almost try to adapt to what some people like.
