"I'm from the Jenny Crwys-Williams school of radio"- DJ Fresh

DJ Fresh (real name Thato Sikwane) was born in Botswana and cemented his career as a radio host and house music deejay in South Africa. DJ Fresh now anchors the breakfast on music radio station, Metro FM.

DJ Fresh joined Azania Mosaka for an intimate chat on life, love and radio. DJ Fresh's parents sent him to boarding school at 13 which helped him become independent.

Initially I thought they were punishing me, but I realised after the first term, they actually sent me here to grow up. The lessons were dropping all the time, were it not for boarding school I'd probably be a different person right now.

DJ Fresh says he loves his privacy which is why he won't appear on show like Top Billing. He adds that he's a "reluctant personality", saying he loves what he does but dislikes the attention that comes with the job.

I want you to get to work and you're like jeez, I can't wait to drive again to work tomorrow, that's what I believe a breakfast show should be.
