Significant progress made in reduction of Malaria deaths globally

CEO of Goodbye Malaria, Sherwin Charles says there's been a significant progress made in reducing the number of people dying from Malaria.

He says Malaria has always been the biggest killer of children under five years across the globe but progress has been made in the last five years.

There has been a reduction from over a million children per year down to 429 000 people dying from malaria.

April 25 is World Malaria Day.

According to Charles, 2017 has seen a spike in reported malaria cases due to heavy summer rains.
