How to assist displaced victims of xenophobia

Calls were received from concerned South Africans about the well-being of those displaced due to xenophobic attacks that are currently encapsulating some parts of the country, particularly Kwazulu Natal and Gauteng.

Gift of the Givers responded to the needs of those displaced by setting up refugee camps. Gift of the Givers is the largest disaster response NGO in Africa. It was established in 1992 and it has since delivered lifesaving aid in the form of search and rescue teams, medical personnel, medical equipment, medical supplies, medicines, vaccines, anti-malarial medication, high energy and protein supplements, food and water to millions of people in 41 countries, South Africa included.
