Balaclava Gang could have targeted van Breda family, court hears

The advocate defending triple murder accused Henri van Breda says criminals labeled the Balaclava Gang have been targeting Stellenbosch homes around the same time as the van Breda's were killed.

According to EWN reporter Giovanna Gerbi says the security officer who patrolled the De Zalze Estate took the stand at the Western Cape High Court on Wednesday.

The security officer explained what he saw the morning after the van Breda family was murdered two years ago.

He detailed the emotional state of Henri van Breda, saying he was panicky, that he seemed to be blowing off steam.

Gerbi says the defence presented photographs to show how someone could have gained access to the property.

The defence is definitely gunning for that trying to show that there are security loopholes.
