Van Breda Trial: Defence takes court through De Zalze Estate security measures

A security officer who patrolled the De Zalze Estate on the day three members of the Van Breda family were murdered has been cross examined.

The trial of triple murder accused Henri van Breda continued in the Western Cape High Court on Wednesday where his lawyer, Advocate Matthys Combrink questioned security guard Lorenzo Afrika, who was the first person on the scene on the night of the murder.

The security officer explained what he saw the morning after the van Breda family was murdered two years ago.

EWN reporter, Monique Mortlock has been following developments on the trial.

The interesting bit that came out was that fact that on that night during Afrika's shift three alarms had gone off that he was unaware of.

He stuck to his guns and said he did not hear anything from the control room because the guys in the control room would tell him if an alarm went off.
