For six years, 32 year old Xolani Luvunu, slept under a bridge in Sunnyside, Tshwane.
While staying on the streets, Luvunu was a drug addict, a bone marrow cancer sufferer and an amputee with only one leg.
A hero without a cape, Hein Venter, found and rescued Luvunu from the streets of Tshwane and even gave him a prosthetic leg. After tremendous help, patience, and care from Venter, Luvunu began a new, drug and cancer free life.
Today Luvunu is a proud marathon runner, completing 42 km on his crutches in the Wally Hayward Marathon.
