Google says it's addressed a phishing attack on users

An unusually sophisticated identity phishing scam targeted Google's roughly 1 billion Gmail users worldwide on Wednesday.

Users received inboxes masked as an email from a trusted contact asking them to check out an attached "Google Docs" file.

Clicking on the link took them to a real Google security page, where users were asked to give permission for the fake app, posing as GDocs, to manage users' email account.

World Wide Worx's Arthur Goldstuck explains the repercussions.

When they give that permission what they are really doing is giving permission for the hackers to access your email accounts.
