Human Settlements dept two week window to return with housing action plan

The Human Settlements Ministry says it will need two weeks to try and address the housing concerns raised by Ennerdale and Eldorado Park residents.

Thami ka Plaatjie, an adviser to Human Settlements Minister Lindiwe Sisulu, says he has been collecting information from the communities.

Plaatjie says he spent Monday in Eldorado Park and will spend today in Ennerdale to get a better grasp on the situation, reports EWN's Mia Lindeque.

He says that he is going to assist Minister Sisulu so that they can go back to the community in about two weeks to address the situation once and for all.

Police continue to monitor the situation amid protests in Eldorado Park and Ennerdale, expected to spill over to other areas.
