Homo Naledi likely to have lived alongside humans

A team led by Professor Lee Berger has announced the discovery of a new Homo Naledi skeleton, Neo, in a new chamber in the Rising Star cave system at the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site.

The chamber has been named Lesedi and it's similar in shape to the Dinaledi chamber in which the first Homo Naledi fossils were found.

It has now been revealed that Homo Naledi dates back between 236 000 - 335 000 years.
