Caller needs help with nyaope addict brother harming family

A caller says his brother, who is a nyaope addict, has attacked his niece and tried to burn the house with their mother inside.

His brother has five pending cases, but always comes back and continues to attack the family.

Gauteng Department of Social Development spokesperson, Mbangwa Xaba, responded to the caller saying the department will intervene.

Xaba says society needs to come together and fight nyaope addiction.

He says it's estimated that we have three million young children living on the streets affected by drugs across the country.
