Outa confident of a win in case against e-tolls
The South African National Roads Agency (Sanral) is chasing a trucking firm in court for unpaid e-toll fees.
Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (Outa) chairman, Wayne Duvenage, says Outa has filed responding pleas to the summonses issued for outstanding e-toll payments.
Outa has been advocating against Sanral's e-toll system saying it's unjust and illegal.
Duvenage says Sanral bullies the public.
Many of the reasons why Sanral was thrown out to e-toll the Western Cape are applicable in this case.Wayne Duvenage, Outa chairperson
OUTA’s case is outlined in the action which Sanral filed against Thandanani Truckers and Hauliers who were served a summons for R402 841.62 in unpaid e-toll fees, run up from January 2014 to August 2015.
