Presenter Redi Tlhabi says that government officials have reached an appalling level of brazenness, following the announcement that Brian Molefe will be reinstated as Eskom CEO.

It is clear that the people at the top have reached a point where they just don't give a damn... They are going to do it anyway.

The Afternoon Drive host says the concern surrounding Molefe's return is not about his competency or labour rights.

The issue is that Molefe has yet to clear his name after the controversy of the state capture report, she explains.

Molefe didn't just resign from Eskom. It was in the context of a damning Public Protector report and him subsequently saying that he wants to resign in the interest of good governance and him clearing his name. Have those two things happened? They haven't.
