David Katz also known as Mr. Active tells Weekend Breakfast host, Phemelo Motene that genetics play a huge role in one's chances of becoming a marathon champion.
If your genetics don't make you a world class marathon runner, do not despair. Mr. Active says you can still compete in a marathon no matter how average a runner you are.
He says you have a good chance of competing fairly if you put in the work and time to train and get your nutrition right. It's as simple as that, says Katz.
