The City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services (EMS) says it is happy with how residents behaved over the weekend as Joburg felt the cold front hit.
EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi says four shacks were affected in Alexandra, but no one was injured.
Mulaudzi says there was one vehicle accident which claimed four lives.
He says residents should continue to be cautious when they use imbawula, heaters, candles and paraffin stoves.
