Holomisa says they will not be bullied by the DA

On Tuesday, Democratic Alliance, Executive Mayor Athol Trollip announced his decision to remove his deputy mayor, the United Democratic Movement's (UDM) Mongameli Bobani from the mayoral committee amid huge tensions between the two.

Major General Bantu Holomisa, President of the United Democratic Movement (UDM) says the decision taken by Trollip to dismiss Bobani were incorrect but adds that the mayor neglected the processes.

Holomisa says they asked the agreement they signed in the coalition states that when there is a problem in any of the municipalities where the coalition partners are governing, all leaders should be briefed on said matters.

As a result of that on Monday half past four we'll be listening to the DA's reason on why they removed Bobani.

Holomisa adds that should Trollip also be found to be in the wrong, he will also need to vacate his office as the mayor. He says the outcome of the findings will serve as a guideline on how to proceed further the matter and individuals involves.
