President Jacob Zuma has been asked not to attend the Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) central executive committee (CEC) meeting on Monday.
The President is not even invited, never mind being asked to address.— Clement Manyathela, EWN reporter
Coastu announced that it decided Zuma will no longer address its central committee meetings and all other federation events.
This comes after Zuma was booed and heckled during Cosatu's main May Day Rally in Bloemfontein earlier this month and prevented from addressing workers.
EWN reporter Clement Manyathela explains that in addition to being barred from speaking, the labour federation may want Zuma to stay away from events all together.
The ANC will have to decide on which other leader to deploy to Cosatu speaking engagements.
