It's up to the courts to decide if Molefe's reappointment is legal - Naidoo

Council for the Advancement for the South African Constitution's Lawson Naidoo says given the amount of information out in the public, there is a huge amount for the Eskom board to account for.

The Public Enterprises portfolio committee has announced an inquiry into the re-appointment of Brian Molefe as Chief Executive Officer.

He says the current board has lost its legitimacy.

Given the amount of information that is already out in the public sphere, from the Public Protector's state of capture report, various internal reports, there seems to be huge governance contraventions within Eskom that the current board and Mr Molefe have been involved in...there is a huge amount for the Eskom leadership to account for.
