Betrayal Of The Promise: How South Africa Is Being Stolen is the groundbreaking report released by the State Capacity Research Project, an interdisciplinary, interuniversity research partnership that aims to contribute to the public debate about ‘state capture’ in South Africa.

It exposes the systemic methodical capture of the State, dealing with various institutions and parastatal; how the framework was laid for the capture to happen and mentions specific names of those believed to be involved.

Lumkile Mondi, Senior Lecturer at the Wits University School of Economics and Business Science is one of the group who was involved in the report and he chats to Redi Tlhabi about the work.
