WATCH: Johnny Clegg bids farewell to music with final world tour

One of South Africa's finest sons, Johnny Clegg, joined Talk Radio 702's, Azania Mosaka in studio for an intimate discussion after announcing his retirement from the music industry.

After 36 years in the music industry, Clegg will be hanging up his microphone to focus on writing his autobiography and to spend time with his family.

Clegg began touring professionally in 1982 and had his first hit single in 1986. His mother was a jazz and cabaret singer and bought Clegg his first guitar when he was only twelve years old.

By the time I was 15 I was being arrested inside the hostels by the Saps for breaking the Group Areas Act.
