Anonymous says he is being blackmailed over 'compromising' video

In an email sent to Xolani Gwala this week, a listener explained how he is being threatened over an extramarital affair involving a woman he met on the internet.

Anonymous says he sent a video of himself to her and that she is now threatening to share the video footage with his daughter unless he pays up.

He has since asked for help.

The email reads:

I have a rather embarrassing, but dangerous problem. I am married and did a really stupid thing by speaking to a person on the internet who represented themselves as a blonde woman. She convinced me to show her a compromising video of myself. I know this a ridiculously stupid thing to do, but I did it.

They got hold of my name and Facebook and showed me a message they threatened to send to my daughter. They got her name from friends list. Again, I should have locked my Facebook as well....big mistake again!

Anyway, even though I feel like a real idiot and a terrible person for cheating on my wife, I just feel trapped at the moment. I have paid them quite a bit if money already, but I suspect they will just keep coming back.

I would desperately like to remain anonymous, but I must find a way out of this. And help would be appreciated. I have some of their phone numbers and will happily provide them.

I have realised that these people won't just go away, so paying them is a bad option. If they send the message, I would be in a very difficult situation, but to keep paying would destroy me completely. I was out of work for over 4 years until late last year.
