Mazzone says Molefe refused to answer her questions about his Gupta links referred to in sections of the state capture report. She adds that the amount of disdain displayed by the board of Eskom is very worrying.
They seem to think that they're all powerful and untouchable.— Natasha Mazzone, Democratic Alliance (DA) Shadow Minster for Public Enterprises
Mazzone says that she suspects a lot of the load shedding was created by Eskom.
She questions the convenience of many of the coal contracts and coal supplies saying it was convenient for Eskom to cause mass panic, bring the country's economy to its knees. Mazzone believes load shedding could have been avoided.
