The UN Agency for Refugees said this week that resurgent fighting between rival militia in the Central African Republic has displaced at least 88,000 people in the month of May alone.
68,000 people were internally displaced while more than 20,000 were forced to flee into the neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo.

There is a UN presence there but it seems the militia do not care. Compounded to this is the humanitarian access to many areas remain restricted so it means that those in need of basic things cannot be reached because of the fighting.— Crystal Orderson , 702 Africa correspondent
